How Period Delay Treatment Works

How Period Delay Treatment Works

Period delay treatment uses hormonal medication to temporarily postpone your menstrual cycle. By maintaining hormone levels, it prevents the drop that normally triggers a period.

Several factors can influence how well period delay treatment works, including:

  • Starting the medication at the correct time

  • Following the prescribed dosage schedule

  • Individual hormonal response

  • Existing menstrual cycle patterns

  • Certain medical conditions or medications

A provider consultation helps determine the right treatment plan and ensures it is safe and effective for your needs.
