This Telehealth Policy ("Policy") describes how telehealth services are provided through Herexa Women’s Health, P.A ("Herexa Health," "we," "our," or "us"). This Policy explains the scope, limitations, and requirements of receiving healthcare services through our online platform.
By accessing or using our Services, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to the practices described in this Policy.
- IMPORTANT NOTICE
Telehealth services are provided by a Florida and New York licensed physician, including Dr. Amir Shay, MD, and are available only to patients physically located in the State of Florida and New York at the time of consultation. A $59 consultation fee applies (medication not included).
1. Scope of Telehealth Services
Telehealth allows patients to receive medical evaluation and consultation through secure electronic communication instead of an in-person office visit.
- Patients complete an online medical assessment.
- A licensed physician reviews submitted medical information.
- Follow-up communication may occur through secure messaging or electronic communication tools.
Telehealth services are intended for appropriate non-emergency medical conditions.
2. Physician Evaluation
All medical evaluations are conducted by a licensed physician who exercises independent clinical judgment.
- Completion of an assessment does not guarantee treatment or prescriptions.
- If clinically appropriate, a prescription may be issued.
- Some conditions require in-person care or additional medical evaluation.
The physician may determine that telehealth is not appropriate for your condition and may recommend in-person medical care.
3. Patient Eligibility
To receive telehealth services, patients must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be physically located in Florida or New York during the consultation.
- Provide accurate and complete medical information.
- Use the Services for lawful healthcare purposes.
Services may be denied if eligibility requirements are not met.
4. Limitations of Telehealth
Telehealth services have inherent limitations compared to in-person medical care.
- Physical examinations cannot be performed remotely.
- Incomplete information may affect clinical decision-making.
- Technical issues may interrupt communication.
- In-person care may be required for accurate diagnosis or treatment.
You acknowledge that telehealth may not be suitable for all medical conditions.
5. Privacy and Security
Herexa Health uses secure systems designed to protect patient information in accordance with applicable healthcare privacy laws and our Privacy Policy.
- Medical information is transmitted using secure technologies.
- Access to information is limited to authorized personnel and healthcare providers.
Despite safeguards, no electronic communication system can be guaranteed completely secure.
6. Emergency Care
Telehealth services are not intended for emergency medical conditions. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate in-person medical care.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this Telehealth Policy periodically. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
